Also M/V "Caribbean Express" ON L9233727, Panama, 829 tons; M/V "Emerald Express", ON L9248332, Panama, 829 tons. I was relief master for the entire fleet of 6 RoRo vessels calling on out-island ports throughout the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Haiti, and Cuba. Towing heavy lift barge, 240x72, 2,000 tons; from Beaumont, TX to Panama. Towing light barge from Long Beach, CA to Morgan City, LA. Towing loaded barge from Mobile, AL to Houston, TX to Puerto Cabello, and Maracaibo, Venezuela.

Master of towing vessel "Seismic Explorer".
ON 511366, 291 tons, 168 foot, ex research vessel, for Moby Marine, Miami, FL., towing a 260x60 foot ocean barge from Miami to Arica, Chili with military cargo; and back to Miami. Then towing same barge from Miami to Wilmington, NC, to Vieques, Puerto Rico, to Panama, and back to Miami, with hazardous (ammo) military cargo. Then towing deck cargo from Miami to Havana, Cuba for US State Dept. Then towing military barge from Savannah, GA to Dominican Republic. Then towing various barges for MSC from Jamaica to Guantanamo, Cuba and two tandem tows from Guantanamo, Cuba to New Orleans, back to back.
7/92 - 7/93 Master of tug "Moby Ruth" for Moby Marine, Miami, FL. General towing, lightering, core sampling, and salvage in the Bahamas and Caribbean. Also research projects for Naval Research Labs, Martin Marietta, and NADC, Key West.

Master of tug "Nipigon". ON 171702 for Balfour Beatty Construction Co., Nassau, Bahamas. Towing barges, jack up barge and construction plant for construction sites on several islands in the Bahamas, including construction of new cruise berth in Nassau, a new dock in Governors Harbor, Eleuthera, a new dock in Morgans Bluff, Andros, a new dock at Potters Cay, Nassau and new entrance and a lagoon at Little Stirrup in the Berry Islands. Then moving floating plant to Venezuela to rebuild cargo dock in Puerto Cabello, and rebuilding ocean pier.
7/89 - 12/90 Master of various vessels for Moby Marine, Inc., Miami, FL. Towing barges, special tows, survey, salvage, tanker lightering, and towing a rock barge from Freeport, Bahamas to Nassau and throughout the Bahama Islands.
2/89 - 5/89 Stunt driver and boat operator for film production of "Thunderboat Row", United Artists, Steven B. Cannell, producer, in Miami, FL.

Relief Master on tug "Buster Bouchard" ON 05961, 6700hp for Bouchard Transportation Inc., Hicksville, LI, NY. Towing jumbo oil barges from Philadelphia to New York, Albany, Port Jefferson and Boston. Also, harbor work including ship lightering, oil and gas barge shifting, and ship docking.
2/88 - 7/88
Master on the inspected ocean tug "Esther Moran". ON292910, 6300hp, for Moran Towing and Transportation Inc., Greenwich, CT. Towing 18,000 ton New York City sludge barges from New York to 109 mile dump site off New Jersey. Also, ship docking. She is now under Canadian Flag as "Salvor" for McKeil Marine.
9/86 - 1/88 Master on various tugs for Moby Marine Corp., Miami, FL. Tows included heavy lift, marine construction, salvage of freighter off beach, general towing in Caribbean, and tanker lightering in the Bahamas and Cayman Islands.5/86-8/86 Delivery of 110' motor yacht from Panama to England.
8/85 - 5/86 Consultant to Ship & Shore South Power Systems, Inc., Miami, FL. Also, Marine Production Coordinator for United Artists on TV series, "Miami Vice".
6/85 - 8/85 Delivery of large power yacht "Aqualar" from Piraeus Greece, via Corinth Canal, to Punta Arenas, Costa Rica, via Panama Canal.2/84 - 6/85 General towing and film work for Moby Marine Corp., Miami, FL.

Master of 3500hp tractor tug "ZP CHALONE" and Fleet Master for Faust Tugs, Inc., San Francisco, CA. and Great Lakes Dredging, Slidell, LA. I was lead captain and set up two tandem tows consisting of two hopper barges, a crane barge (GL53), and three tractor tugs, and towing from New Orleans, LA to San Francisco, CA via Panama Canal with no towing winches. These tugs are still working in Rotterdam, Holland.

12/80 - 8/83
Master, and Owner of the motor tug "Dr. Daniels", ON384724 Cayman Island, 155 x 32 x 16', 496 tons, 3000 BHP. Ex Smit International Salvage Tug. Former names: Barentsz-Zee, and Smit Jakarta.
Business centered around a contract for General Electric Co., Marcona Industries, Ft. Pierce, FL towing an 296'x79' 4,000 gross ton semi-submersible deck barge "Goliat IV" from their mine on Ocean Cay, Bahamas loaded with aragonite sand. Concurrent with this contract, we towed scrap to Progresso, Mexico, and railroad cars from Baltimore, MD to Jamaica. Due to the loss of contract because of bidding, I moved the operation to Europe by towing a large crane barge from Trinidad to Spain, then a large ocean barge from La Spezia, Italy to Vigo, Spain. Lisbon, Portugal became home port. This was followed by towing a dead ship from the Azores to Newcastle, England. Then two Danish Naval Frigates were towed in tandem from Denmark to Spain. A large ocean barge was then towed from Rotterdam, Holland to Lagos, Nigeria. We moved back to Caribbean and the tug was sold.
9/80 - 12/80 Master of production vessel and asst. chief diver for and Eon Productions Film, "James Bond, For Your Eyes Only" in Coral Harbor, New Providence, Bahamas.

Master of various vessel in the fleet of Acadian Marine Services, New Orleans, LA. Vessels including "Acadian Patriot", "Acadian Victory", anchor handling tug/supply vessels, and the "Acadian Mariner" and "Acadian Seafarer", both 225 foot 8000 BHP tug/supply vessel. Duties included anchor handling, supply, sea trials, and container cargo operations.
